Kenda CAP Kobra Snow Tires
These tires go great through the snow! Snow doesn't stick to these tires, one tap and it all falls right on off. The tire's crown rolls very well on hard ground, for when you are hitting the pavement. And the tread design gives ample traction on pavement and hard ground. As you sink into soft sand, grass or snow the side lug part of the tire digs in and supplies plenty of traction to get you where you wanna go. Once back on the pavement the tires roll with ease. And for those lifting these into a vehicle the weight of the tires is extremely light in comparison to other mountain-bike style tires on the market. The CAP (Casing Added Protection) designation "is an added layer of material under the tread area and runs from bead to bead," says Charles Li of Kenda USA, "it is a puncture-resistant material designed to prevent pinch flats" making the tire over 65% more puncture proof that a standard tire. I can't seem to bring myself to take these tires off. Even now that the snow has since gone and the tread is down to nothing on the tires. These are the BEST all around tire I have ever used and definitely a must for anyone like myself who can’t stick to the pavement. Kenda Iron Cap Koncept K191 - Green
Kenda Iron Cap Koncepts are hi-performance tires for sports or everyday use. The "Iron Cap" construction have the same layer of material under the tread that runs bead to bead adding strength to the tire as well as helping prevent punctures that the Kobra tires have. The Iron Cap tires claim 90% more puncture resistance and I put them to the test. The outer compound of the tire grabs very well on wood court surfaces and rolls beautifully down the sidewalk. The rolling weight is so light they are effortless to push and mounted on a set of Spinergy LX Sports they take only a finger to lift. Or if you are me, you mount them to a set of Glance Sun Billet aluminum wheels and get a bang for your buck. Now these tires are strong fast and light-weight, but the cool factor of these tires is the obnoxious blue, red, yellow, or green that they come in. Kenda DR(dual rubber) colored tires are not only killer looking but tough as well. I have to say I put these tires though their paces and they came out with flying colors, no pun intended. Both tires claim 3-4 times more life than regular grey rubber tires and I have to say they are pretty close. I brutalized these tires for over 6 months each with very little wear on the tread.
